This endowed account at the AUA funds a Fellowship Program in the U.S. for one or two year tenures.  The application and Fellowship match process are as per AUA Fellowship guidelines. 

This competitive Fellowship funds research and enhances surgical skills in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic Surgery- enhancing the scope and message of Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery.

Began a one-year research award on 11/20/2023 titled “A Randomized Controlled Trial of Preoperative Prophylactic Antibiotics for Ureteroscopy in Moderate to High Infectious Risk Population,” which is being conducted at the University of California, San Francisco, under the mentorship of Thomas Chi, MD.

The third Dr. Raju Thomas AUA Endourology Fellow trained under this program:

Tyler Sheetz, MD

One of the recipients of the 2024 Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar Awards. These awards provide $40,000 annually for mentored research training for clinical and postdoctoral fellows or early career faculty. The Endourological Society Raju Thomas Award sponsored Dr. Sheetz’s award.
